Amis, Patel & Brewer, LLP (“APB”) seeks to hire a first-year law student for Summer 2021. The summer associate will assist the other attorneys of the firm with representing clients in the development and financing of renewable energy and sustainability projects. A summer at APB will give students broad-based experience within the area of clean energy and sustainability financing. A successful candidate will thrive in a team-oriented environment, in which he or she will be exposed to complex issues pertaining to project financing and development.
APB is a boutique law firm located in Washington, DC, providing transactional legal services to the renewable energy and sustainability sectors. Our practice encompasses the full range of activities associated with the development and financing of utility-scale renewable energy and sustainability projects, and incorporates unique expertise in distributed energy production, energy efficiency, energy storage, waste stream management and controlled environment agriculture.
Responsibilities: The summer associate will assist attorneys primarily by (1) conducting legal research and analysis pertaining to energy-related areas, such as: energy efficiency, renewable technologies, alternative energy, and environmental compliance; and (2) reviewing contracts and closing documents. The summer associate will assume a significant level of responsibilities and will gain invaluable experience within the area of project finance.
