U.S. Senator Gillibrand seeks a Director of Community Outreach in New York City. Applicants must be self-motivated team players who are able to exercise discretion and multi-task effectively. Applicants must also have a strong knowledge of federal issues impacting the five boroughs of New York City and experience working with diverse community leaders. Responsibilities include representing the Senator at civic and community meetings, tracking and providing policy analysis on a portfolio of issues, building relationships with leaders in the public and private sectors, executing events and workshops, and staffing the Senator. The issue portfolio includes and is not limited to Housing, Education, Faith-based initiatives, Multi-Cultural Affairs, and Civil Rights. Position requires some work on nights and weekends.
