Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is seeking a Finance Counsel to manage the portfolios of taxes, banking and trade.  The individual would write legislation, develop new ideas, advance the Senator’s legislative priorities, foster relationships with industry leaders and in-State organizations, staff the Senator in relevant meetings, staff Agriculture hearings regarding the CFTC and CME, write briefing memos and keep the Senator appraised of issues within the portfolio.   The most qualified candidates will have experience working in banking or tax policy.  Candidate should excel at working collaboratively with a communications team and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, often on compressed timelines. Candidates should be strong writers, have good interpersonal skills, and have an excellent sense of organization and time management..
