2023-05-18 - 04:00PM - 2023-05-18 - 07:00PM

Join us on Thursday, May 18, from 4:00-7:00 PM for an interactive CLE training program on Implicit Bias: Managing Cognitive and Interaction Issues in the Courtroom. This engaging program will explore how implicit bias may taint our civil and criminal justice systems and what you can do to achieve more equitable results. The program will be led by leading experts on this topic - Hon. Bernice Donald, U.S. Circuit Judge for the Sixth Circuit (Ret.), Professor Sarah Redfield of the University of New Hampshire School of Law, and Elizabeth Kelley, Attorney at Law. The speakers are authors of the book Extending Justice: Strategies to Increase Inclusion and Reduce Bias.

The program will include separate interactive workshops for lawyers and judges. It will be held in-person at the SDNY Courthouse (500 Pearl Street) and will offer 3 CLE credits in Diversity and Professional Practice (pending approval). The program will be followed by a reception!

Please RSVP here before May 15th: secretary@fbasdny.org
